16 year old Ghazanfar included in place of Mujeeb in KKR: Keshav Maharaj came as a replacement for Prasidh Krishna in Rajasthan Royals.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have included Allah Ghazanfar in the team in place of injured Mujeeb Ur Rahman. The 16 year old off spinner is a player from Afghanistan.

On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals (RR) have announced the replacement of injured Prasidh Krishna. Keshav Maharaj has been included as his replacement. Prasidh Krishna recently underwent surgery to deal with the pain in his bi-thigh muscles and is currently recovering.

Ghazanfar joined at base price 20 lakhs
Allah Ghazanfar has represented Afghanistan in 2 ODI matches. The young player has played 3 T20 and 6 List A matches and has 5 and 4 wickets to his name respectively. Ghazanfar joined KKR for a base price of Rs 20 lakh.

Maharaj will play IPL for the first time
Keshav Maharaj will be taking part in his first IPL season as he has joined the Royals for the current season. Hailing from Durban, South Africa, the left-arm spinner first came into international cricket in 2016 when he represented his country in the Test series against Australia.

The 34-year-old all-rounder played 50 Tests, 44 ODIs and 27 T20Is for South Africa, taking 225 international wickets and scoring more than 1400 runs in all three formats.

In the SA20 held in February this year, under the captaincy of Keshav Maharaj, the team Durban Super Giants played the final for the first time. The team was defeated by Sunrisers Eastern Cape by 89 runs in the final.
