A rare surgery has been performed in the Department of Urology of Banaras Hindu University (BHU). A large tumor weighing 2.5 kg has been removed from the kidney of a severe heart patient. Along with this, 1.5 liters of blood which had formed into pus was also removed. The patient is now healthy and has been discharged. Doctors from 4 departments were required to complete this surgery. Doctors from Urology, Cardiology, Radiology and Anesthesia departments were also kept. A team of 3 doctors successfully performed this rare surgery in 4 and a half hours.
