In two different police station areas of Shravasti, 6 people, including 5 teenagers, went down to take bath in water due to the heat. In which a total of three people including two teenagers died due to drowning in water. At present, after a lot of effort, the police, with the help of a local diver, have rescued two people including a teenager.

The first accident is of Saryu canal flowing near Turhani Balram village of Sonwa police station area. Where Haram (15), Zaid (16), Salman, Sahil and Faizan from Dhapali Purva village of Bahraich reached Saryu canal while strolling. After this suddenly three friends got into the water to take a bath. All three started drowning due to slipping of their feet. Haram and Zaid jump into the water to save them. Then somehow the three friends who were already drowning in the water came out. But Haram and Zaid drowned in water. Zaid’s body was recovered by the police from Saryu canal near Babu Purva.
Elderly man drowns after slipping
The second accident has come to light from the Saryu canal flowing near Bhikharipur Mashadhi of Gilola police station area. Where an elderly man, troubled by the heat, went to take a bath in the canal water. Then he slipped and drowned in deep water. Finally, the NDRF team, which reached the information, worked hard in the presence of the police and recovered the body of the old man from the water. Police sent the body for postmortem.
