In a miraculous surgery, Andhra Pradesh doctors saved life by operating on a seven-year-old boy who swallowed tiny magnetic balls from play toys. The tiny particles were stuck in the intestines of the little boy.
Reportedly, a couple belonging to Khammam town of Telangana state has purchased some play toys and given them to their one and only son Arya (7).
The kid swallowed as many as 50 tiny magnetic balls fixed in the toys while playing with them and the magnetic particles got stuck in the intestines.
Later, the kid named Arya began to complain of pain in the abdomen and vomiting. Unable, to find the reason behind their child’s pain, the parents then consulted several doctors in Kahammam but to no avail.
Finally, they got in touch with doctors at the Rainbow Hospital in Vijayawada city of Andhra Pradesh.
As per the advice of the doctors, they admitted the boy to the hospital.
The doctors then found tiny magnetic balls stuck in the intestines of the kid after detailed scanning and suggested to his parents that an operation was necessary to remove the magnetic balls stuck in the intestine of the boy to save the accused’s life.
The parents then took a second opinion and agreed to perform surgery on their son Arya.
After the intense surgery, the doctors removed the magnetic balls successfully.
“We saved the boy after the parents of the kid approached the hospital at the right time. We provided advanced medical care to the kid”, Dr Ram Prasad, Clinical Director, Rainbow Hospital said.
Unit Director Gunasekhar appreciated the doctors who performed surgery on the kid successfully.
