Delhi Woman Booked for Opening Pet Carrier Mid-air on Goa Flight After Her Dog’s ‘Weird’ Cries – News18

Goa police on Monday filed a complaint against a Delhi-based woman after she allegedly opened a pet carrier on the flight and created panic among the passengers. The police have booked the woman, identified as Alisha Adhana under Section 336 of IPC.

As per media reports, the complaint was filed against the woman for endangering her fellow passengers on a Goa-bound Flight as the accused allegedly opened her pet carrier to calm down the dog which was making noise.

“The incident reportedly occurred on an Akasa Air flight and the flight manager filed a complaint after the plane landed at the Goa airport. The woman has been booked under section 336 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for endangering the lives of crew and fellow passengers,” the airline spokesperson told IANS.

However, the act didn’t go well with the passengers and her co-passengers, who started panicking due to the voice of the pet.

Reportedly, Adhana boarded the flight from Delhi with a family member. As per the airline’s protocol, the pet carrier was to be kept in the cabin but the cage was not to be opened.

However, soon after the take-off, the dog started making noise as it was uncomfortable due to the turbulence. To calm the dog down, the accused took him out for a while and kept it on her lap.

The co-passenger, however, objected to the presence of an animal inside the flight following which, the flight manager lodged a complaint.

In a similar incident reported in January this year, a woman took to social media to describe her horrific experience on a Delta flight after she was made to sit alongside a pitbull on the flight. Reportedly, the dog’s owner refused to put it inside the carrier and the dog also spoiled some of her belongings.
