An example of such a physician is Dr. Damera Anil Kumar, who has been providing services to the impoverished community in Godavarikhani for 25 years.

Dr. Kumar not only charges a nominal fee but also offers a 30 per cent discount on medical bills in addition to a reduced outpatient fee. Given the current circumstances, seeking treatment at a corporate hospital can be financially burdensome for the average person, often costing thousands of rupees.

Given the high consultation fees ranging from Rs 300 to Rs 500 at corporate hospitals, it becomes nearly impossible for financially disadvantaged individuals to access medical care. However, there’s a silver lining for the underprivileged as one doctor has come forward with a heartening announcement.

He has committed to offering the less fortunate an opportunity to consult doctors at his hospital every Sunday, charging a minimal outpatient fee. This initiative will take place at Star Mount Hospital in Godavarikhani, located in the Peddapalli district in Telangana, offering medical services to those in need.

Dr. Damera Anikumar has been tirelessly delivering medical services within the Godavarikhani Industrial Area for a quarter-century, all through the Damera Charitable Trust. This trust was established with a strong commitment to offering healthcare to the less fortunate residents of the region. In honour of their father DJ, the Damera Charitable Trust has taken the initiative to provide medical services every Sunday at a minimal cost of one rupee. This service encompasses a range of specialities, including doctors specializing in BP, sugar, surgery, and orthopaedics, ensuring comprehensive care for the community.

During the event, Kumar expressed his heartfelt intentions behind offering outpatient services every Sunday, aiming to make corporate-level medical treatment accessible to all those in need, especially the underprivileged. He conveyed his happiness in providing healthcare services through the charitable trust established in memory of his father.
