People across the world have made some remarkable yet bizarre records that have left social media users stunned. A man in Bikaner, named Chandra Prakash Vyas, is one of them. He has made an interesting record of having the longest beard. In an interview with News18, Chandra Prakash claimed that he has the longest beard in Rajasthan. According to him, he participated in the beard competition organised here and became the recipient of the longest beard award. Chandra Prakash has left no stone unturned to take care of his beard and applies shampoo on his hair once in just 15 days. He washes his beard with Multani mitti, amla (Indian Gooseberries), and buttermilk only once a month. Chandra Prakash says that he also applies conditioner while bathing. In addition to these products, he also applies coconut and sesame oil to the beard to keep it in good shape. According to him, it takes about one hour every day to maintain the quality of the beard.
According to Chandra Prakash, he has not shaved his facial hair for the past 7 years. He aims to make India proud on the international pedestal too. He has participated in several competitions held in Bikaner that fetched him the longest beard award. These competitions provided a much-needed boost to his passion for maintaining his long beard. He works as a computer operator in Kolayat Town, Bikaner, Rajasthan, and has to cover a distance of 50 kilometres via bus. Chandra Prakash takes care of all the necessary precautions for protecting his beard when he travels to his workplace. He wraps it with a cloth so that it may not get damaged by the dust. The length of his beard is 3 feet.
He feels that those who have ample amount of time, as well as patience, can keep such beards. According to him, initially, his family members were not supportive of his passion. Their attitude, however, changed when he started taking part in competitions. Chandra Prakash said that he has won a total of 7 competitions including the Mooch Shree Award in 2017, a competition held by Bharat Beard Club, Gurugram.
