India clinched the silver medals in the men’s lightweight double sculls rowing event and the women’s 10m air rifle team claimed silver medals in their respective events.

Team India opened their medal tally in China on Sunday as the contingent representing the tricolour clinched the silver medals in the men’s lightweight double sculls rowing event and the women’s 10m air rifle team claimed silver medals in their respective events.

The men’s lightweight double sculls rowing comprised of Arjun Lal Jat and Arvind Singh, as the Indian pair worked their way across the stream to end up second on the podium.

Lal Jat and Singh clocked a time of 06:28:18 to seal the first medal for India at the Hangzhou games on Sunday.

The women’s 10m air rifle team, brought in the nation’s second medal of the multi-sort event was made up of Ramita, Mehuli Ghosh and Ashi Chouskey.

The women’s troika came in second with a score of 1886.0.
