Recently, during a special conversation with Dainik Bhaskar, Annu shared things related to his professional life. Well, the interesting thing is that Annu Kapoor had to change her name because of Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor. What is this whole story, let us know – in the words of Annu Kapoor:
Did you have to change your name because of Anil Kapoor?
Actually, by the time I came to Mumbai in 1982, Anil Kapoor had become a star. She was born in December 1956 and I was born in February of the same year, but it doesn’t matter. Now he is a hero and I am zero. Only the one who is zero has to compromise. Secondly, in our country names like Anil, Anurag, Anupam, Anees, Anwar, Anuradha are often nicknamed Annu. The family members used to call him Annu, then it was changed to the same name. However, I am always grateful for what I got in the name of Annu Kapoor. Tried to give my best with whatever I got. By the way, right now I have no contact with Anil ji.
Tell us something about the short film ‘The Last Envelope’
The story of the film revolves around an elderly man. How he hires an actor to overcome his loneliness is shown well. Through this film we are trying to show the loneliness of senior citizens. Actually, now the concept of joint family is gradually coming to an end. This is a very sad situation. In such a situation, it is very important for senior citizens to empower themselves.
In 40 years, did you ever think of leaving the industry?
Beggars cannot be choosers. Such thoughts never occurred. My wife and 3 children live with me. All these things come to the mind of great people, who have achieved something. Farmers, farmers and poor people like us do not have such a thought in our minds. I will work and earn money as long as my life lasts. I have no interest in acting, nor is it my passion.
Have you ever said yes to any project for money?
Many. Till now I have done most of the work only for money. If I work for my heart, I will die of hunger. I will not be able to earn bread for the house.
