A video of a clash between two groups after a tractor was seen dragging a motorcycle in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad went viral on social media. According to reports, the incident took place during the Ganesh Visarjan (immersion) ceremony near the ordnance factory in Ghaziabad’s Muradnagar.

In the video, a group can be seen dancing behind a vehicle taking a statue of Lord Ganesha for immersion, when a tractor appears in the frame dragging a motorcycle.

As soon as the tractor comes to a stop after hitting a vehicle, a man begins thrashing the driver. More people join him and begin beating three occupants of the tractor.

Onlookers stopped and watched the fight progress resulting in traffic congestion in the area. Someone from the crowd recorded the video and posted it on social media.

Ghaziabad police responded to the video confirming that the clash took place in Muradnagar on September 25.

In a video statement on X (formerly Twitter), an officer said the cops reached the spot, pacified both sides and cleared the traffic jam.

No complaint was filed by any of the parties involved in the matter. “If any complaint is received in the matter, a case will be registered and necessary action will be taken,” the officer said.
