Tamil actor and music composer Vijay Antony has returned to work just nine days after his daughter’s death. He was seen promoting the upcoming film Ratham. Producer G Dhananjeyan, while promoting the film, shared some pictures of Vijay on social media and praised him.

Vijay’s daughter had committed suicide

Vijay’s 16-year-old daughter Meera committed suicide on September 19, 2023. She was found unconscious in her room. Vijay immediately took Meera to the hospital but she was declared dead there. Why Meera took such a big step has not been revealed yet. The police has started the investigation Meera studied in a school in Chennai. She was one of the school toppers.

Vijay had reacted on the death of his daughter

After Meera’s death, Vijay shared an emotional note through social media. He had written, My daughter Meera was a very kind and brave girl. She left this world and went to a place where there are no things like caste, religion, money, jealousy, sorrow, poverty. She has now gone to a place where there is peace. I think she still talks to me. After his death, I too have died from within. Now I have started spending time with her in my mind.

Apart from Meera, 48 year old Vijay has another daughter named Lara. Vijay married Fatima in 2006.
