Avinash Sable made the event looked like a breeze when he finished the men’s 3000m steeplechase with the a four second lead.
India’s Avinash Sable managed to bring in a historic gold after finishing first at the men’s 3000-meter steeplechase event at the Asian Games being held in Hangzhou, China.

Sable by far put in a dominant performance as his fellow competitors were not even in the frame as he reached the finish line.
Avinash finished with a gold setting a time of 8:19:50s thereby setting a new Asian Games record as well during his dominant performance.
The gold medal will be a historic one for India as Sable becomes the first Indian man to win the gold medal in the 3000m Men’s Steeplechase event.
Born into a family of farmers, Sable comes from the Beed district in Maharashtra.
He had previously won silver at the Commonwealth Games 2022 where he set a new national record as well with a time of 8:11.20s.
