Haryana: Bambiha Gang Member Shot Dead in Sonipat, Rival Goldy Brar Takes Responsibility – News18

The gunned down body of a infamous gangster from Punjab, linked with the Bambiha gang, was found near fields in Harsana Kalan village in Haryana’s Sonipat.

The gangster, identified as Deepak alias Maan Jaton, hailed from Punjab’s Faridkot district and was closely associated with Lucky Patil, a Bambiha gang member, said a Hindustan Times report.

Maan is a history sheeter with several offences registered against him including that of attempt to murder and dacoity across Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh and Delhi.

Maan had reportedly challenged his rival gang member Goldy Brar claiming that Maan along with his aides had killed Brar’s cousin Gurlej in Chandigarh a few years back. Maan was also a wanted person in this case, a senior police officer from Sonipat said.

Inspector Karmjeet Singh, Station House Officer (SHO) of Sonepat Sadar police station stated that they had had received information about a body lying in the fields from the locals.

Maan’s body had several bullet injuries on the head and stomach, Singh said adding that, the body has been taken into police custody and sent for post-mortem to a civil hospital.

It was only later that the deceased was identified with the help of Punjab police. “Gangster Goldy Brar has taken responsibility for the crime and we are ascertaining the facts. An investigation is underway,” Singh said.

The forensic teams have also collected evidence from the scene and they will be sent to the forensic science laboratory in Karnal’s Madhuban.

Goldy Brar posted on Facebook saying, “Maan Jaton, who was one of the shooters in killing our brother Gurlej Brar, was killed. We have given him his punishment. He had killed our brother when he was asleep, but we have killed him like a dog. He used to challenge us on Facebook and he was hit with bullets. Those who belong to his gang shall remain ready to face the similar consequences.”

Two weeks ago, Gangster Sukhdool Singh alias Sukha Duneke of the Devinder Bambiha gang, was shot dead in Canada’s Winnipeg.

Duneke had fled to Canada from Punjab in 2017 and as per sources, he was killed in Winnipeg in an inter-gang rivalry. Hours after reports of his killing surfaced, Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for it.

In a social media post, the Bishnoi gang said that Duneke had played a key role in the murders of gangsters Gurlal Brar and Vicky Middkhera, adding that the killings were planned by Duneke even when he was living abroad.

Duneke who fled to Canada in 2017 with a forged passport, had been aiding, funding and strengthening the Devinder Bambiha gang in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Rajasthan.
