Govinda is sitting at home because he cried about Shahrukh-Salman: Pahlaj Nihalani talked about his relationship with the actor, also accused David Dhawan

Film producer and former Censor Board Chairman Pahlaj Nihalani has talked about his relationship with Bollywood actor Govinda. Pahlaj said that he had stopped working with the actor because of director David Dhawan.

Govinda made his debut with the film Iljaam (1986), produced by Pahlaj. Apart from this, both of them together gave hit films like Shola Aur Shabnam (1992) and Aankhen (1993). 26 years after ‘Aankhen’, both of them worked in ‘Rangeela Raja’ (2019) but this film was a flop.

Govinda was seen in a double role in the film Rangeela Raja, made under the banner of Pahlaj.

Shows of our film were canceled due to controversy
In an interview given to Bollywood Thikana, Pahlaj said, ‘My relationship with Govinda deteriorated when he started crying in the name of Shahrukh-Salman.

He said that many actors in Bollywood have conspired against him. These statements given by him before the release of Rangeela Raja had an impact on our film. Due to the controversy, many distributors had canceled the shows of the film.

David Dhawan created misunderstandings: Pahlaj
When Pahlaj was asked why he did not work with Govinda for many years, he said, ‘David Dhawan had created misunderstandings. She felt that it was only because of her that my films became hits but when I started working with Anil Kapoor, she felt that I had betrayed her.

In the 90s, Govinda and David Dhawan gave many back-to-back hit films.

After this he started speaking ill of me to Govinda behind my back. He spread a lot of bitterness about me and many actors used to come and tell me what he says. Govinda also separated from me.

We were going to work on a film together. We had started shooting together but Govinda left her midway.

Producer said- Now Govinda is sitting at home
Pahlaj further said, ‘After some time, Govinda came back to me and we were going to do a film together called ‘Avatar’… but Govinda did not like its title so he did not do the film.

We finally worked together on ‘Rangeela Raja’ after 26 years. It was a remake of a Rajinikanth film. Govinda did a better job than Rajinikanth in this, but when he started whining about Shahrukh-Salman, the film flopped. Now look at him, he is sitting at home….

Govinda has worked with Pahlaj Nihalani in a total of 4 films. Out of which three were superhits.

Govinda has given controversial statements in many interviews. However, now it seems that he has improved his relations with Salman. Both of them worked together in ‘Partner’ released in 2007.
