Mark Zuckerberg Shows Off Black Eyes from Jiu-Jitsu Practice – News18

Mark Zuckerberg shared a photo on Instagram of his two black eyes due to injuries he sustained during jiu jitsu training. “Sparring got a little out of hand. May need to update my avatar,” Zuckerberg said in the photo caption while sharing the photo.

Zuckerberg has been studying jiu-jitsu since the during Covid-19 pandemic. He said that the martial art gave him an energy boost. During an episode of the Joe Rogan Experience (JRE) podcast, Zuckerberg said mixed martial art is the “perfect thing”. He said after working out he feels like he can resolve any problem at work.

“MMA is the perfect thing. After an hour or two of working out, or rolling or wrestling with friends, or training with different folks, it’s like now I’m ready to go solve whatever problem at work for the day,” Zuckerberg told podcast host Joe Rogan.

The billionaire also noted on the podcast that he trains with coach Dave Camarillo, who helped him win gold and silver medals in his first jiu jitsu match in May. He thanked Dave Camarillo, Khai Wu and James Terry after his achievement.

Camarillo also said he was honoured to train, teach and learn from the tech titan. “I’ve been privileged to witness some amazing individuals do amazing things in my career. And I have been honoured to play a small role in their life,” Camarillo said.

“It’s inspiring to see someone so known challenge themselves in a new arena. This goes to show how amazing the art of Jiu-Jitsu really is. It changes you, it enhances the power of will — it is magic. It also attracts some very driven people,” he further added.

“You are truly an amazing person. Thank you for sharing your drive, your enthusiasm and your graciousness to all of us!” Camarillo said.
