In a love story that has consistently made headlines, a man, who tied the knot with his friend’s mother, just weeks after meeting at her elder son’s funeral has paid a heartfelt tribute to his older wife on her 80th birthday. Gary Hardwick, a 26-year-old from Tennessee, celebrated his unconventional love with Almeda, who works at Walmart, with a gushing social media post. The couple, no strangers to controversy, notably maintains a joint OnlyFans account where they share explicit content with their subscribers. In his emotional birthday message, Gary affectionately referred to Almeda as his ‘babydoll’ and ‘queen,’ shedding light on their unique relationship that has captivated the public’s attention.

In the Instagram, Gary shared a picture of Almeda and wrote in the caption, “Happy birthday to the most amazing wife in the world. Today is not only your day but most importantly, today is about celebrating the birth of such a wonderful and true woman with such a heart of gold.”

Calling himself the luckiest husband, he added that she makes him the happiest man every day and wants to make her the happiest woman.

Gary was 17 when he married Almeda when she was 71 in a $200 (Rs 16,646) ceremony two weeks after they first met at her son’s funeral and then again at a children’s birthday party in 2015. Despite raising their eyebrows with their relationship, Almeda has insisted that it’s true love and her husband is mature for his age.

According to Daily Mail, Gary has spoken openly about their sex life and said the first time they made ‘love’ was on their wedding night. For him, it was an ‘amazing experience.’ Gary even called their connection deep and praised his wife as a ‘wonderful lover.’

Since then they’ve had some of their TikTok videos reported and removed due to sexually explicit content.

A year after their big day, the Hardwicks admitted that a lot of people disagree with their relationship, including Almeda’s son who hasn’t spoken to her since the day she met Gary.
