Akshay Kumar has talked about the struggles of his family. He told how the entire family lived in just one room in China Chowk, Delhi. He also told that his dream was not to become an actor. He wanted to become a martial arts teacher.

In an interview given to ANI News, Akshay told that he had failed in 7th class. For this reason he had to study in the same class again. Angered by this, the father ran to beat him.
The angry father asked Akshay what he wanted to become, because he was not interested in studies at all. Without thinking anything, Akshay replied that he wanted to become an actor. However, at this time he had no thoughts of becoming an actor. His dream was to become a martial arts teacher.
Akshay told that mother watches one of his films 7-8 times.
24 people of the family lived in the same room
Akshay further told that there were 24 people in his family in Delhi and the entire family lived in the same room. There was not much money, yet everyone lived happily.
Save money for food and buy movie tickets
Akshay said that he did not want to become an actor but he was very fond of watching films. There was Rupam Cinema Hall near where he lived in Mumbai. Every Saturday he used to go to watch a movie with his sister. However, for this he did not eat food during the day. With the money saved from food, both of them used to buy tickets and then watch the movie. He had seen almost all the films of that period.
Father took loan of Rs 18,000 and sent it to Bangkok
Akshay Kumar wanted to learn martial arts, but it was difficult for a middle class family to afford it. At that time, Bangkok was the cheapest country near India, so his father sent Akshay there to learn martial arts. The ticket from India to Bangkok at that time was Rs 22,000, but his family did not have that much money. In such a situation, the father had taken a loan of Rs 18,000 and bought a ticket for Akshay to Bangkok.
Akshay entered films with the 1991 film Saugandh and gained recognition with the 1992 film Khiladi.
Akshay came to Mumbai to work as a waiter but luckily he got work in films here. Before coming into films, she also did modeling for some time. After debuting with the 1991 film Saugandh, Akshay did another film Dancer in the same year. Next year in 1992, his 3 films Khiladi, Mr. Bond and Deedar were released. Further he gave 5 films in 1993 and 11 films in 1994. From then till today, Akshay Kumar releases at least 3 films every year. In his 32 year career, Akshay Kumar has appeared in 132 films.
