Google Chrome is getting several new quality of life updates in from of website recommendations, better autocompletion and better responsiveness.

Google is launching a new update for Chrome that is designed to improve its autocomplete feature—on both web and mobile. Now, instead of it working correctly only in the beginning of a URL, Chrome desktop’s address bar will get auto-completed “based on any word you’ve previously used to search for a website.”

Citing an example, Google mentioned that if you simply type “flights,” Chrome will autocomplete to reveal the complete Google Flights website address.

In addition, Google Chrome can now also tell if a user misspells a URL name in the address bar. According to Google, it can now detect typos and then show you suggestions based on your previously visited websites. This feature is rolling out to users across desktop, iOS, and Android.

As part of the update, Google is also bringing the ability to allow users to search for their saved bookmarks—right from Chrome’s address bar. So, simply type the name, and Google will show you the results.

And Google will now also recommend results for websites you have never visited before. Let’s say you want to search for Google Earth on Google but don’t know about its website and end up typing ‘Google Earth’ in the address bar, Google will look for its website and show you the recommendation.

Google notes all these changes and features would be easier to use as the company has also worked on optimizing the address bar by making it faster to respond, with a new visual layout that promotes clarity.
