Queen Elizabeth II’s personalized Land Rover Range Rover, with unique features, goes under the hammer, preserving regal motoring history.
The third-generation Land Rover Range Rover with a regal history is all set to be auctioned off.
This exclusive vehicle, which boasts a royal legacy, will hit the auction block on November 11 at the prestigious NEC Classic Motor Show Sale 2023 in England.
This particular Range Rover was a labor of love, meticulously designed by Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations team exclusively for the late Queen. It was a car close to Her Majesty’s heart, often seen carrying her on her journeys.
This extraordinary Range Rover flaunts a plethora of distinctive features that set it apart from the standard models. Its Epsom Green exterior and the Sand Hide interior were carefully maintained by the Queen, who ensured the protection of the seats with both front and rear covers.
The thoughtful design even extends to the rear doors, each of which is equipped with two window switches, ensuring that backseat passengers can operate them with ease, without any leaning or stretching. The inclusion of grab handles and side steps further enhances the convenience of entry and exit for all occupants.
Furthermore, this remarkable vehicle features a dedicated dog guard, separating the passenger compartment from the cargo hold with a protective cage. The front grille has been modified, concealing lights and mudguards to preserve the vehicle’s pristine appearance during all-terrain journeys.
With nearly 110,000 miles on the odometer, this unique Range Rover was first registered in the UK in 2004 and received its inaugural service in April 2005. Its most recent service was carried out in July, ensuring it’s in excellent working condition.
Under the hood, this automotive marvel is powered by a robust 4.4-litre engine that originally churned out 282 bhp power almost two decades ago. Notably, it still carries the same cherished number plate – BN04 EPU.
What truly distinguishes this vehicle is its confirmed Royal ownership, making it a coveted collector’s item. The lucky individual who takes this beauty home is guaranteed to turn heads and make a regal statement on the road.
The Queen, who held the distinction of being the UK’s longest-serving monarch, passed away last year in September. She had a deep fondness for driving and was often seen behind the wheel of this Range Rover. In 2021, she took a green Jaguar wagon for a spin around Windsor Castle, proving her love for motoring.
