Director Shakun Batra was going to make a series based on Mother Anand Sheela with Alia Bhatt in 2021, but he postponed it due to the film ‘Gahraiyan’. American director Barry Levinson was going to work on a project based on Sheela with Priyanka.
However, Batra later produced a documentary named ‘Searching for Sheela’. It was based on Sheela’s Indian visit a few years ago. In one of its segments, Karan Johar also interviewed mother Sheela.
In 1981, on the insistence of Sheela, Osho built an ashram in the US.
