These days, actor Karan Kundrra is in the news for the reality show ‘Temptation Island India – Pyaar Ki Pariksha’. The actor is seen as a host in this show. Let us tell you, this show is an American dating reality show in which couples participate. In this show, couples will be seen testing their relationship in front of the country. Recently you bought a house in Mumbai, how happy are your parents?

They are happy but let me tell you, in the year 2013 I bought my first house in Mumbai. Actually, at that time I was a very cool Maula type of person. I was working back-to-back, successfully. At that time, my co-stars were all moving ahead and I was just having fun. I even shot a film for free. My father was watching all this, he understood that his son was in his own world.

He came to Mumbai and proposed to me to buy a house. Initially I was not ready but then Papa told me that he would help me to pay some money for the house. But when the turn came to give the money, father backed out. Look, it was a trick to get me in line. To make me realize my responsibility. So we had passed the test of responsibility towards parents in 2013 itself.

What was the reason for agreeing to ‘Temptation Island India – Test of Love’?

The reason why I said yes to this show was that I too found my love in a similar show. I found my love in the show itself. No one can understand this format better than me. The makers have created the format, I have lived it.

Is it completely adapted from the original show?

Bringing a show like ‘Temptation Island India’ is a long process in itself. This is an adaptation of an American reality show. When the offer for hosting came, I was excited as well as nervous. There were many questions, one of which was how would this concept be adapted to India? Will it be right if we adapt the original show completely? Amidst all these questions, I think the makers have adapted it quite well.

Was there anything you were surprised to see or hear during the shooting?

Yes absolutely. We got to see this at the end of the first week of the show itself. There is a couple in the show in which the girl was very insecure. She did not trust her partner. And exactly the opposite happened. I was surprised to see what was finally happening. So there have been many moments which were surprising.

Did you learn anything about your relationship from this show?

Yes, there are some things, like when I listen to our contestants, when they express their partner, I feel that they are saying the right thing. I have been surprised many times. Sometimes I also feel that in my time I should have reacted this way. Look, you have to make mistakes because that’s how you learn. You make a mistake, suffer its consequences, and yet you avoid repeating it. I have also learned a lot in my relationship, although I have no regrets of any kind.

Any marriage plans with partner Tejashwi Prakash or are you happy with this phase of the relationship?

No, both of us are happy in this phase.
