Such reception dolls were set up for the first time in East Godavari.
Two human basket dolls were above 6 feet in height and were seen greeting the guest upon their arrival. The third doll donned a white dress and posed with a frame.
S Annavaram village in Tuni Mandal of East Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh witnessed an unusual marriage ceremony in which huge basket dolls were seen greeting the guests. The people started taking selfies ignoring various food delicacies. At the wedding reception of Babi, the eldest son of a businessman Dashetty Vishnuchakram, the huge basket dolls were seen for the first time in the district. The wedding ceremony was held grandly in Annavaram four days back. The reception of the same took place on Sunday. The huge basket set up was prepared 20 days back in the empty premises of the venue.
There were several human basket dolls present at the venue. In the video covered by News18, three basket dolls could be seen by the viewers. Two of them were above 6 feet in height and were seen greeting the guest upon their arrival. The third one was of a human who posed with a frame. The people couldn’t believe their eyes after watching the basket dolls.
The State Roads and Building Department Minister blessed the newlyweds with a beautiful flower canopy. These reception dolls were set up for the first time in the East Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh. One of the huge basket dolls was seen in a red colour gown whereas, another wore a rainbow colour dress. She also had wings attached to her back like a butterfly to impress the guests.
Apart from the striking feature of dolls, the reception also had mouth-watering dishes. It consisted of rice, eggs, sweet dishes and others. The reception ceremony saw the attendance of hundreds of guests. The ladies were seen wearing a saree whereas men donned formal clothes to the event. At the entrance, the idol of lord Ganesh was also kept. The venue was decorated with purple and white flowers.
