These days, a deepfake video of Rashmika Mandanna is going viral on social media, in which Rashmika’s face has been morphed neatly into the face of an influencer using AI technology. Rashmika Mandanna has raised her voice against the inappropriate video going viral, after which she is getting support from many celebrities. After Amitabh Bachchan, now Mrinal Thakur has also angrily put a class on those who do this.

Mrinal Thakur recently posted a story from his Instagram account and wrote, Those who do all this should feel ashamed. This shows that people do not have conscience. Thank you Rashmika Mandanna for talking about this, because we keep seeing glimpses of it every day, but many of us prefer to remain silent on this matter.

Every day, morphed, edited videos of women are seen zooming in on inappropriate body parts on the internet. Where are we headed as a society? We may be actresses who live in the limelight, but at the end of the day we are also human beings. Why aren’t we talking about this? Don’t remain silent, now is not the time to remain silent.

What is the whole matter?

For the last few days, a video has been in the headlines, in which Rashmika Mandanna is seen in the lift. That girl looks like Rashmika, although she is not Rashmika but a girl named Zara Patel, whose face has been changed to Rashmika’s face. Journalist of ALT News revealed this after the deepfake video went viral.

As soon as the news of this came to light, Rashmika raised her voice against it. Rashmika angrily wrote, A deepfake video of mine is going viral on the internet, which I feel extremely sad to talk about. Honestly, this is very scary not only for me but for each one of us who are in danger due to misuse of this technology.

Today as a woman and an actress, I am grateful to my family, friends and well-wishers, who are my protection and support system. If this had happened to me when I was in school or college, I really can’t imagine how I would have been able to get myself out of this situation.

We as a society should immediately raise our voice against this tampering with our identity, before more people become its victims.

Getting support from the film industry-

Amitabh Bachchan demanded to take legal action

Amitabh Bachchan, who was Rashmika’s co-star in the film Goodbye, released in the year 2022, has supported her and said that legal action will be taken.

Nag Chaitanya said- I am very sad to see technology being misused.

South actor Nag Chaitanya also tweeted supporting Rashmika. they wrote, I am very sad to see such misuse of technology, I am more scared thinking what will happen from it in future.

What is deepfake?

Deepfake is a type of fake video, in which a person’s face, voice and expression are changed. Editing is done so clearly through AI tools that it is very difficult to identify true and fake videos. Earlier morphing was done only in still photos, however now facial expressions are changed in videos also. Deepfakes are mostly used for pornography, in which anyone’s photo or video is changed into a nude photo or video with the help of technology.
