Today i.e. Thursday, the trailer of the film ‘The Archies’ has been released. In this film full of star kids, Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda, Shahrukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan, Boney Kapoor-Sridevi’s daughter Khushi Kapoor will be seen in important roles. Apart from these, Yuvraj Menda, Mihir Ahuja and Vedang Raina will also be seen in the film. The film is an adaptation of the American comic The Archies. This film will be released on OTT platform Netflix on December 7.

Agastya Nanda will be seen playing the lead role of Archie in the film. Suhana will play the role of Veronica, the most popular teenager in high school. Khushi Kapoor is seen as Veronica’s best friend in the film. Both Veronica and Khushi fall in love with Archie.

Mihir Ahuja will play the role of Jughead in the film, who is Archie’s best friend. Yuvraj Menda will play the role of Dilton Daly and Vedant Raina will be seen playing the role of Reggie Mental.
The film is set in the 60s. Zoya Akhtar has directed this story going through the phase of love, friendship and break-up.

There is often talk about nepotism and Nepo kids in the film industry. In such a situation, when all the star kids are included in this release of Netflix, then trolling is bound to happen.
When the teaser of this film was launched, some users trolled the film for ‘celebrating nepotism’ and being ‘too white’.

Tagging Netflix, a user wrote, ‘@NetflixIndia’s #TheArchies shows a group of kids who have never actually read Archies.’
Not only this, a Twitter user even said that this film should be called ‘The Multiverse of Nepotism’.
