Diwali is here and it is time to burst crackers and celebrate with family. By the way, have you ever thought what can happen if you mix firecrackers and Bollywood together? During a special conversation with Dainik Bhaskar, TV show ‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain’ fame Anita Bhabhi alias Vidisha Srivastava and Manmohan Tiwari alias Rohitashv Gaur answered this question in a very funny way.
During their conversation, these actors also shared some interesting memories related to Diwali. Let us know what he said:
Share any special memories related to Diwali.
Rohitashv Gaur – Among all the childhood memories, the memories of Diwali always remain important. This is a very important festival for me. At that time we were very fond of firecrackers, which is no more now. Our father used to bring crackers worth Rs. 17 at that time. We used to compare ourselves with our neighbors and complain to our father.
Papa never agreed to our insistence and used to buy crackers worth only Rs 17. Till date I have not been able to forget the joy of burning those firecrackers. They used to burn those firecrackers for 3 days and at the end, they used to collect the remaining half-burnt firecrackers and burn them together. So whenever Diwali comes, we never forget these small stories of childhood. A lot of sweets were made at home, among all these sweets Gujiya used to be my favourite. At home, my mother used to make chakli and chivda. She would start making it about a week in advance. After that, we would go to the neighborhood to deliver those sweets and snacks. Now it seems as if these traditions have disappeared.
Vidisha Srivastava – My hometown is Banaras and celebrating this festival in its small streets is something else. We have big houses in these corridors, like my 3-storey house which is 100 years old. Used to enjoy bursting crackers on the terrace. Obviously, at that time we did not know what were the side-effects of burning firecrackers. Now I am not at all in favor of burning firecrackers.
What will be special this year?
Vidisha Srivastava – This is my daughter’s first Diwali. She will turn 4 months old on the day of Diwali. I have bought a lot of things for him and will try to keep him away from noise as much as possible. She is the goddess of our house, so I will definitely worship her. By the way, I am also thinking of making her wear a saree (laughs), it will be a very special and emotional moment for me.
What do you remember when you see firecrackers?
Rocket:
Rohitashv Gaur – Kangana Ranaut. Kangana is one of those who leaves everyone behind and moves ahead. She looks like a rocket to me.
Vidisha Srivastava – Today, Deepika Padukone is no less than a rocket for me.
Pomegranate:
Rohitashv Gaur – Taapsee Pannu. There are soft elements inside them just like pomegranate. Vidisha Srivastava – I consider myself a pomegranate.
Lakshmi Bomb / Rope Bomb
Rohitashv Gaur , Aamir Khan. They are also no less than a bomb.
Vidisha Srivastava – Kriti Sanon. In Bollywood, rope looks like a bomb to me.
sparkler
Rohitashv Gaur – Kareena Kapoor. She is the only sparkle for me. Vidisha Srivastava – Seeing sparklers reminds me of my sister. She is the sparkle of our house
Chakri/Jalebi
Rohitashv Gaur , Alia Bhatt. She is my favourite. She seems no less than a fool to me. I consider her a very good actress.
Lodi Bomb:
Rohitashv Gaur – Ranveer Singh. They have many shades like bomb. His energy is absolutely bomb. A few years ago he came to our set to promote ‘Bajirao Mastani’. At that time he was very energetic on the set.
