Newcastle United star Kieran Trippier was seen in an animated exchange with the fans during the Magpies’ 2-0 defeat at the hands of the Cherries.

Newcastle United slumped to a 2-0 defeat against Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday as Dominic Solanke netted twice for the Cherries to give his side the win.

During the loss, Newcastle United star Kieran Trippier was seen in an animated exchange with the fans.

After the loss, the English international shed light on the exchange with the fans as he said, “The fans are emotional, of course, they are. They have travelled a long way, they spend a lot of money to come and watch us.”

The 33-year-old opined that despite the loss, the team are in a good position in all competitions.

“I was just having a chat with one of them, I said we are giving everything. There is no need to panic, we are still in a good position in the league, and we are still in the Champions League, and Carabao Cup quarter-finals, there is no need to panic,” he explained.

Trippier elucidated that he told the fans that the players are giving their all for the team.

“We got beat, we do apologise for that result, but the most important thing is that the lads are giving everything. We are giving more under the circumstances,” said the fullback.

Newcastle have created a splash in the ecosystem ever since the takeover of the Tyneside club by Saudi Arabian owners.

Following a brilliant showing last year, which ended with them finishing fourth in the English top flight, the team sealed their entry into the coveted UEFA Champions League.

The English side also got a big win over French Ligue 1 champions PSG, as Newcastle routed the Kylian Mbappe-led side 4-1 with goals coming from Miguel Almiron, Dan Burn, Sean Longstaff and Fabian Schar.

Newcastle stand seventh in the standings this season after 12 games, with 20 points to their name. The Magpies’ next engagement in the PL is their home fixture against Chelsea on the 25th of November.
