Image of Kane Williamson smiling after losing to India surfaces on social media.
New Zealand captain Kane Williamson praised Team India for its epic win against his team. He said that the unbeaten hosts were simply the best side around and were playing outstanding cricket. With this, Williamson was also proud of his team’s fight during the chase but he had no qualms in giving credit to India, who have won all their 10 matches in the tournament. “India are playing seriously good cricket, they’re a class side at the top of their game and to come out in a semi-final and continue and repeat what they’ve been doing throughout this competition shows where they’re at as a team,” Williamson told reporters.
An image which is currently doing rounds from his interviews shows the captain smiling while appreciating team India. “Life: I will break you every time; Kane Williamson:” wrote the ‘X’ user in the caption. Many pointed out how he is one of the nicest gentleman out there to show such sort of sportsmanship. Here, have a look at the viral image:
“Truth be told, it breaks my heart to see this man lead the NZ team tournament after tournament in glory, so close to the cup but never getting the cup,” commented an ‘X’ user. Another person wrote, “This is reality for most of us. We are all Kane Williamson. We fall. We get up. We dust off. We begin again. Life has to go on.”

The New Zealand team gave a good performance in yesterday’s match. The captain said he was proud of his team’s performance over the duration of the tournament.
“We try and focus on our cricket, not just on one day, but for a period of time and that’s how I try and reflect on our time here,” he said. “I know it’s still quite recent and it is disappointing without a doubt to not go further. But in terms of taking steps forward as a team and wanting to do it at the right times there was a lot of good stuff but that blue machine keeps rolling and they were too good for us today.”
