A shocking incident has come to the fore from Uttar Pradesh’s Bijnor district where a businessman’s wife was gang-raped, and burnt with cigarettes, and his house was robbed by five men at their house.
According to the news agency IANS, all accused managed to enter the house and tied the businessman’s wife, and raped her. The businessman, his mother, and children were not present in the house at the time of the incident.
All accused, who were in an inebriated condition, broke the locks of the cupboards and robbed gold jewellery, silver, Rs 1.5 lakh in cash, and an LED TV installed in a room. They also ran away with a scooter from the house after locking up the woman in a room.
The businessman further claimed that on October 19 the same robbers had held him hostage and stolen Rs 80,000 in cash.
When he complained to the police at that time, he was assured that action would be taken against the accused.
In connection to the alleged negligence in registering a complaint in the October 19 case, station in-charge Vikas Kumar was sent to the lines by Superintendent of Police Neeraj Jadaun.
