Peak Bengaluru: Local eatery playing Elon Musk’s interview on television shows how it’s all tech or nothing in the city.

Chilling at a local cafe or even at the coziest food stalls with cricket matches playing is a common sight in India. But imagine this – a modest canteen, not showcasing the usual entertainment, but airing a comprehensive interview with an international personality. This scene is a rarity, yet Bengaluru breaks the mold, illustrating its distinct identity steeped in technology.

In a recently surfaced video circulating on the internet, a canteen in Bengaluru, known for its Bihari fare, was captured playing none other than Elon Musk’s interview from Lex Friedman’s podcast. Musk delved into topics like “War, AI, Aliens, Politics, Physics, Video Games, and Humanity.” Now, one might not expect a local eatery in India to cater to such intellectually rich content, especially since it may not attract high-profile individuals but rather regular locals. Yet, this is Bengaluru, where a thirst for knowledge prevails even during a simple meal of the day. That’s the peak Bengaluru experience for you!

The accompanying caption to the video states, “On a random Bihari mess near Ramaiah college, Bangalore.” According to the post, the ‘tech-savvy’ establishment was Kashi Foods in Mathikere.

As the video went viral, comments flooded in. “It’s over for America when Biharis are thinking about AI,” joked one user. Another commented, “Tell me you’re in blr without telling me you’re in blr.” A third person remarked, “Wow good we are evolving at much higher pace.”

This isn’t the first instance of such intellectual exposure in Bengaluru. Earlier, a viral image featured a food court inside a mall proudly displaying billboards adorned with portraits of renowned entrepreneurs who have sparked the entrepreneurial flame among millions. Figures like Jack Ma, Steve Jobs, Jeff Bezos, Sheryl Sandberg, and more found their place within these frames. Sharing the image, Vibali Joshi, the original poster, exclaimed, “Ohh yes, I shifted to Bangalore, and this is just a random mall I went to. Insane.”
