Madhuri Dixit heaped praises for her Uttar Dakshin star Rajinikanth in an appreciation post.
It was a double whammy for Team India at Wankhede stadium as not only thousands of fans thronged to witness the World Cup Semi Finals between India and New Zealand but also because several stars like Rajinikanth, Anushka Sharma, John Abraham, Ranbir Kapoor and others took out time from their hectic schedule to cheer for the blue jerseys. Among them was also Madhuri Dixit and her husband Dr Shriram Nene. The actress has now shared a picture with Rajinikanth, along with an admiration note for the megastar.
Taking to her Instagram handle on Sunday, Madhuri Dixit dropped a selfie with Rajinikanth, along with a note as the caption. It read, “Keh do Uttar waalo se Dakshin waale aagye”. This was a song from our movie Uttar Dakshin. I remember during the shoot Rajnikanth Ji always spoke to me in Marathi and whenever we meet, he always remembers Uttar Dakshin. What an inspiration and what a human being It was fabulous catching up with Rajnikant Ji #Thalaivar. I am always amazed at how kind, humble and respectful he is. @rajinikanth #rajnikanth #thalaivar.”
Earlier, Dr Shriram Nene had also shared a reel which consisted of snaps featuring them with Anushka Sharma and Rajinikanth, who had come to cheer for the boys in blue. The clip also consisted of glimpses where Virat Kohli can be seen celebrating his record-breaking inning during the India vs New Zealand ICC World Cup Semi Finale as well as a selfie with David Beckham.
Madhuri Dixit was last seen in the film Maja Ma. The film was directed by Anand Tiwari and also starred Gajraj Rao, Ritwik Bhowmik, Bharkha Singh, Simone Singh, and Srishti Srivastava in the lead roles. The film received a great response from the audience and became a huge hit on Amazon Prime as well.
