AI is a threat to your job is what many people say but is it really?

People have talked about work-life balance and the need for people to work less for more and it seems AI can be the answer to these problems.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a threat to humans and their jobs will be in danger thanks to the advancement of technology. Well, that’s what most experts have mentioned in recent times but a new study this week says AI might not be all doom and gloom as it has been made out to be.

In fact, it seems AI could be the answer to help people work 4 days a week instead of 5 because of all the help provided by AI tech like ChatGPT in the near future. A new report by a firm called Autonomy says that millions in the US and UK can benefit from AI and get to work 4 days a week which means a better work-life balance.

AI is supposed to simplify work processes which many claim could have a direct impact on jobs putting many people out of work if AI is implemented at a big scale. But the new study contradicts those concerns and explains that depending on AI could actually be a good thing as it allows people to work efficiently for 4 days in a week and then let AI handle tasks for the next three days.

The study claims that having AI to support their work process could help over 8 million employees in the UK and more than 30 million in the US which surely is a big positive for companies who want better returns for their investment.

Having said that, ChatGPT has proven itself to be a reliable companion for time-intensive tasks which could go against people as well but there is a belief that both AI and humans can co-exist in the same company and deliver results that meet the levels required from both the parties in a cost-efficient way.

OpenAI is leading the segment with the AI chatbot that everyone wants to rival, which includes tech behemoths like Google and Meta. Recently, the company was in the news when within 48 hours Sam Altman, CEO, OpenAI was fired, hired by Microsoft and then re-hired by OpenAI as its new chief once again.
