Josh Inglis completed his first international century off 47 balls as he ended up scoring 110 runs off 50 deliveries.
Australia wicketkeeper batter Josh Inglis slammed his maiden international century on Thursday in the first T20I match against India at ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam. Inglis smashed the Indian bowlers all around the park during his 110-run knock as Australia posted a mammoth 208/3 in 20 overs.
The wicketkeeper batter, who has been in India for the past two months, took very few balls to get set and started attacking the Indian bowlers right from the start which put them under pressure.

Inglis completed his first international century off 47 balls as he ended up scoring 110 runs off 50 deliveries which was laced with 11 fours and 8 sixes.
The wicketkeeper batter stamped his authority over the young Indian bowling attack by smashing boundaries at regular intervals.
He scored the joint-fastest T20I century by an Australian – 47 balls earlier, former Australia skipper Aaron Finch achieved the feat in the same number of balls against England in 2013.
Australia lost an early wicket before Inglis, who smashed 110 off 50 balls, joined Steve Smith, who made 52 before being run out, to hammer 130 runs off 67 balls in a blistering partnership.
Inglis raised his fifty off 29 balls and completed his ton in 47 balls as he jumped and punched the air and the Australian dressing room stood up to applaud.
He finally fell to fast bowler Prasidh Krishna after his knock laced with 11 fours and eight sixes.
Australia, led by Matthew Wade, have rested many of their ODI stars — including Travis Head, Glenn Maxwell and Adam Zampa — as they plan for the T20 World Cup in June.
Earlier, India skipper Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and elected to field against Australia in the opening match of a Twenty20 series on Thursday, four days after the two teams met in the one-day World Cup final.
Australia beat India to lift their sixth ODI World Cup title on Sunday and a few of their winning players have stayed back to play in the five-match series starting in Visakhapatnam.
The matches kick-start preparations for next year’s T20 World Cup in June.
