Ranbir will be seen firing a 500 kg monster gun in Animal: It was designed in Mumbai workshop in four months, 16 thousand dummy bullets were also made.

Ranbir Kapoor’s upcoming film is ‘Animal’. According to experts associated with the film, this is the first film in which Ranbir has done maximum stunts.
A glimpse of his action avatar has also been seen in the teaser and trailer of the film. While in the teaser he was seen fighting the enemies with an axe, in the trailer he was seen firing indiscriminately while wielding a monster war machine gun.

Production designer Suresh said – This gun is made in India
The film’s production designer Suresh Selvarajan shared interesting information related to this gun and the film. Suresh said, ‘Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has set a different level of action with this film. The gun that Ranbir Kapoor is seen wielding in the trailer also has a special name but we cannot reveal it yet.
Ever since seeing this, people have been asking us where it came from. Want to tell that this is Made in India stuff. We have made this monster war machine gun in a workshop in Andheri, Mumbai.
Some special details related to the gun
- It took 3.5 to 4 months to make the gun and dummy bullets.
- 80 to 90 welders, carpenters, electricians and concept designers worked to build it.
- Iron and steel were used to make this gun.
- The weight of this gun is around 500 kg
- This gun is shown being used in a single scene in the film. For this, the makers made 12 thousand to 16 thousand dummy bullets.
- This sequence took 4 to 5 days to shoot.
Designed like Lamborghini’s driving seat Gun
Production designer Suresh Selvarajan further said, ‘We designed this gun in the same way as the parts of Lamborghini and Jaguar, from the bonnet to the driving seat. Ranbir will also be seen using this gun in the same manner as if he is using this heavy gun while sitting on the driving seat.
About 800 golden masks were created for this scene.
The scene with the golden mask is also special
Selvarajan says that apart from this monster gun, a golden mask has also been used in the film. A glimpse of it has been shown in both the teaser and trailer. Where thousands of goons wearing golden masks are coming to attack Ranbir Kapoor.
This idea was also of director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. He also placed axes in the hands of all the juggler’s.
400 to 500 axes were made on the set itself
Selvarajan said, ‘We made 400 to 500 axes for this scene. Made 700 to 800 golden masks. The inner part of these masks is made of fiber, while metal coating has been done on it. The sets of the main actors’ houses have also been created.
There is also a tremendous action scene in the film between Ranbir and villain Bobby.
Ranbir could have also got injured
The interesting thing is that Ranbir Kapoor was also very active in this technical process. A lot of preparation was done on how to use this gun. Suresh told that this gun was very heavy. Operating it was not easy but risky.
Ranbir could have got injured but he shot this gun firing sequence after proper practice and training.
