Madhushree is one of the popular playback singers of India. She has worked in numerous AR Rahman compositions as the lead singer. She has given more than 30 superhit songs with this Oscar-winning music composer in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi songs. Some of her superhit songs include Kabhi Neem Neem from the movie Yuva and Soja Zara in Baahubali 2. Madhushree has sung the songs composed by AR Rahman and also accompanied him for vocals in many songs.
The singer turned 54 years old this month. Her last Hindi song was for the film Varisu after it was released in Hindi. Thalapathy Vijay played the lead role in the film. After giving numerous hits and superhits, the singer is still not known by many music enthusiasts of Bollywood. Madhushree was born in Kolkata and has been part of numerous superhit songs like Kal Ho Na Ho, Kuch Na Kaho, Tu Bin Bataye and Inn Lamhno Ke Daaman Mein, among others. She was the first to immortalise the song Chaap Tilak Sab Cheeni with her voice. The song became a superhit that many singers tried to carve into their voices.

She got the breakthrough with the song Kabhi Neem Neem. She also received the prestigious Sony Stardust Award as the Best Female Sensation for the song.
