Michael Vaughan Takes Ice Bath Early Morning; Fans Say ‘You Must Be Joking’ – News18

As the ICC ODI World Cup is completed now, cricketer-turned-commentator Michael Vaughan has returned to his homeland, England. The former English captain had been staying in India for the past two months to cover the showpiece event. After going back to his own place, Vaughan seems to be putting extra focus on his self-care routine.

In a recent post X, Vaughan was seen taking an ice bath right after leaving his bed in the morning. Similar to India, England has already been gripped with wintry weather as the temperature is mostly hovering under 10 degrees Celsius. While the situation is not quite suitable for a morning bath, Vaughan claims it is keeping him relaxed both mentally and physically.

Wishing good morning to his followers, Vaughan wrote on X, “6:30 am and jumping in an ice tub. How things change but I can’t tell how much this is helping me both mentally & physically.” The 49-year-old certainly needed a lot of courage to get into the bucket of icy water. After the session was done, Vaughan was seen wearing his clothes in a hurry while shivering in the cold.

The video attracted over one lakh views on the microblogging platform, with fans appreciating Michael Vaughan for his determination. One of them could not believe his eyes as he commented, “You must be joking.”

Another fan jokingly asked Vaughan if he was planning to make a comeback to cricket as a player.

One user assumed shivering in cold might help in increasing blood circulation and reinvigorating. That’s perhaps the main reason for Vaughan to opt for an ice bath early in the morning.

An Indian cricket fan quipped, “Michael is working hard so that he can play in the 2024 IPL for RCB (Royal Challengers Bangalore).”

Apart from sharing his opinion on cricket-related topics, Michael Vaughan often drops glimpses of his personal life on social media. During his recent tour of India, Vaughan was seen getting a haircut at a roadside salon in the city of Mumbai, a day ahead of the Diwali celebration. Recognising the barber as an old friend, the English man wrote on X, “Diwali party trim and head massage from my good friend Dinajayal on Ormiston Road in Mumbai.”

Michael Vaughan will be seen doing commentary next during Australia’s upcoming home Test series against Pakistan. The opening game of the three-match series will begin on December 14 in Perth.
