Prabhas starrer film ‘Saalar: Part 1 Ceasefire’ is going to be released on December 22. This is a pan India film. This film has been directed by Prashant Neel. Prashant had a special conversation with Dainik Bhaskar about the film.

Question: How did you get the idea of making Salaar?
answer: The idea of making Salaar had come to my mind 15 years ago, but after my first film ‘Ugram’ was made, I got busy in ‘KGF’ which took me almost 8 years to make. That means we first started planning the film and by the time the second part was released, it had been 8 years.

The idea of making this film in this way was already in my mind. Then during Covid, when ‘KGF 2’ could not be released, we all had a lot of time. That’s when I developed this story and then went to Prabhas sir to approach him. Happily, he immediately agreed to do this film.

Prabhas will be seen in this look in Salaar.

Question: Any special reason behind choosing Prabhas as the lead?
answer:
Today, even though the whole world knows him as Baahubali, we have become his fans by watching his mass movies. Chhatrapati, Varsham and all these were mass movies and that is the image that remains in our minds. I wanted a hero for my film who could play a violent character while being innocent at the same time. That way I couldn’t think of anyone better than Prabhas.

Question: In which locations and in how many days was the shooting of the film completed?
answer:
We have shot the entire portion of the film in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. Singaneri is minus 5 hours away from Hyderabad where we shot, apart from this we also shot in South Ports, Mangalore Port, Vizag Port and apart from this we also shot a small portion in Europe. The shooting of the film was completed in approximately 114 days.

Question: How much time did it take to build the set for the shooting of the film?
answer:
It takes three to four months. We have a total of 16 sets, which we have built in different locations. Most of it has been produced in Ramoji Film City. So we had all these sets and it made it very easy for us to shoot everything. The process started three-four months ago, we want to create a new world, and this is the only thing we want to achieve.

This is the first time that Prashant is working with Prabhas in a film.

Question: What new will the audience get to see in the film?
answer:
Every film is different from each other and we start writing films because of emotions and I hope you will see your emotions and new relationships in this film.

My last film was on the mother-son relationship, how that thing takes the film forward. In this film, I will show the bond between two friends and this entire film is based on friendship.

Question: What level of action will there be in the film?
answer:
The film’s action is as good as its emotions. You can see its level of action by going to the theater itself.

This is Prashant's fourth film as a director.

Question: How was your experience working with Prabhas?
answer:
Absolutely fantastic! I already know them. When you have a close friendship with your actor, it becomes easier for you to work.

Secondly, the level of professionalism was always there with all the big stars and actors. It was amazing in itself to see that the story was unfolding the way we wanted.

During this process our bond became stronger and thus we became friends for life.

Question: What is the status of KGF 3 and when will it go on floors?
answer:
There will be KGF 3 but recently Yash is also doing something and I am also busy with other projects. So we will definitely meet one day and prepare to make it but it is not something that has to be made just for the sake of announcing it. We definitely have a script for it and we will definitely come together.

Prithviraj Sukumaran will be seen in the role of villain in the film.
