At present, UP Board has proposed 7864 examination centres for the board exams of 2024. Last year, it was 8753 examination centres. The reduction in the exam venues is due to the strict rules and regulations of the state board of education. Last year, 432 schools were kept away from the examination centre. Out of these, 169 examination venues were debarred due to the irregularities noticed by the UP board. Other schools which couldn’t make it to the list included the de-recognised schools and the education institutions which were deemed unqualified based on the STF report.
