Animal Box Office Day 3: Ranbir Kapoor kicks off December on a high note with Animal. The film has collected Rs 130.07 crores in just three days.
Animal Box Office Collection Day 3: Congratulations are in order for Ranbir Kapoor as Animal records his career’s best box office opening weekend. Released on December 1, the advance bookings had hinted that Animal will record a massive opening weekend collection. The reports are now in and they have revealed that Animal has collected Rs 130.07 crores in the first weekend in just three days in India alone. The film has already registered a spot in the Rs 200 crore club on Saturday, day 2.
According to Sacnilk.com, Animal earned Rs 72.50 crore across all languages in India. The Hindi screenings contributed Rs 64.80 crore. On Day 2, Saturday, Animal had collected Rs 66.27 crore whereas on its opening day, the film collected Rs 63.80 crore.
Ranbir Kapoor’s Films at the Box Office:
With the Rs 130.07 crore collection, Animal has become Ranbir Kapoor’s best opening movie. The film beat his previous best opener film, Brahmastra – Part One: Shiva, by Rs 10 crores. According to Bollywood Hungama, the 2022 release recorded an opening weekend collection of Rs 120.75 crore. His third best opener is Sanju, which recorded an opening of Rs 120.06 crore.
About Animal:
Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal revolves around a man and his toxic relationship with his father. Vijay (played by Ranbir) is an anti-hero who would go to any lengths to protect his father, including gun down 200 people with machine gun. However, despite his efforts, he struggles to get a seal of approval from his emotionally unavailable father (played by Anil Kapoor). His unhealthy relationship with his father impacts his relationship with his wife (played by Rashmika Mandanna). The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has given Animal an ‘A’ certificate. The film features some bold scenes, including Ranbir Kapoor walking into a frame nude. The film’s run time is 3 hours and 35 minutes.
The film’s end credit scene revealed Animal will have a sequel.
