Pakistani band imitating the infamous foot-stomping tradition from Attari-Wagah border at a wedding leaves internet intrigued.

The closing ceremony at the Attari-Wagah border stands as a captivating sight for us Indians, a must-see at least once in a lifetime. The infamous flag-lowering ceremony, executed by India’s Border Security Force (BSF) and Pakistan’s Pakistan Rangers, involves elaborate dance-like maneuvers and remarkably high leg raises. This daily ritual draws thousands of spectators from both borders, uniting to witness the spectacle. However, a recent viral video showcased a group of men dressed as Pakistani army personnel engaging in the foot-stomping tradition at a wedding, leaving viewers both intrigued and entertained.

“There is no need to go to the Wagah border! Just get married. Or attend a wedding! Fun fun! The second option is safer!” read the caption of the video shared on the micro-blogging site ‘X,’ featuring men performing the foot-stamping routine and receiving payment, akin to traditional drummers at weddings.

While this incident occurred at a Pakistani wedding, an Indian user reposted it, sparking various reactions from the public.

“We should also do this – Hamare yahan Shadi, Kitty Party ke orders liye jaate hain,” commented one user. “Post-retirement startup idea for BSF personnel,” quipped another, while a third humourously alluded to Pakistan’s economic condition, stating, “They monetized it given the state of their economy.”

Nevertheless, some perceived it as an insult to the army.

Sharing a video on ‘X’ (previously known as Twitter), the Kashmir Files star took center stage, addressing the gathered crowd with ‘Mere pyaare Bharat wasiyo.’ He initiated a chant of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ and ‘Vande Mataram’ and even sang the song ‘Dil Diya Hai Jaan Bhi Denge’ from Karma.
