Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif also recently attended the third Red Sea International Film Festival held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. While interacting with the audience here, Katrina said that there is no pre-determined formula for becoming a hit in cinema.

'I am lucky to work with good directors'
The actress said- 'Here we cannot expect any 'X factor' which will always bring you success. You cannot decide in advance whether the role will be a hit or whether the script will work.

We often choose roles and scripts based on our instincts, but the director makes the film. I am lucky that I got the opportunity to work with genius directors like Yash Chopra, Kabir Khan, Rohit Shetty and Sriram Raghavan.

Katrina further said that she has always had the support of good people. The actress told that when Yash Chopra cast her in 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' with Shahrukh Khan, there was no limit to her happiness.

Unfortunately this was Yash Chopra's last film. Kat also said that Shahrukh Khan has always supported her.

'Father went to America after divorce, mother raised us all'
Regarding her family, Katrina said- 'We are 6 sisters and my family is so big that we do not need anyone else. Our mutual support system has been very strong. My mother taught us to be fearless.

My parents got divorced when I was young. Father Mohammad Kaif is a Kashmiri businessman and mother Suzanne Turcotte is a British lawyer and social worker. After the divorce, father went to America. Mother nurtured and raised all of us.

'We traveled a lot to reach London'
Our family has traveled a lot to reach London. First we went from Hong Kong to China, then to Japan, from there via France, Switzerland, Hawaii, Poland and Belgium and reached London.

Regarding her relationship with husband Vicky Kaushal in the program, Katrina Kaif said, 'It is true that our visions are different, but we always talk openly and discuss among ourselves. This discussion should never stop.

'The first film was a flop but today dozens of my films are superhits'
Thanking her fans from the stage, Katrina said, 'The love of the audience is the biggest award for me. The audience has created me and taught me to do good work. I have come to films from modeling.

Madhu Sapre was my role model and idol at that time. My very first film 'Boom' (2003) also flopped badly but today I have dozens of superhit films in my kitty.

A dance director had told me that I could never dance: Katrina
Kat further said- 'When people criticize me, I also feel sad because I am also a human being. But I ignore their words and start working with double the enthusiasm. There was a time when a dance director from the South had rejected me and told me on the set that I could not dance. Later everyone saw that my item dances were a big hit.

'It was my dream to work with Sriram Raghavan'
Regarding the director of her upcoming film 'Merry Christmas', Shriram Raghavan, the actress said that he is a genius. It was my dream to work with him. During the shooting of this film, I realized that every language has its own emotion. When language changes, emotions also change.

In this, my opposite is South superstar Vijay Sethupathi. This film will be released on January 12 next year.

When Katrina was asked if she had any favorite film of her own? So he took the name of 'New York' which was released in 2009. Along with this he said that he wishes that a sequel of 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' should be made. The actress told that she and the rest of the star cast of the film have told director Zoya Akhtar many times that a sequel of this film should be made. This film is very close to his heart.
