Rashmika's reaction on Animal's character Geetanjali: Amid controversies, she said – 'She is like the women of the country, who protect their families'

The film Animal, released on December 1, is continuously breaking big records at the box office. While on one hand the film has earned more than Rs 600 crore, on the other hand questions have been raised in the Parliament on the wrong portrayal of women in the film. Meanwhile, the film's lead actress Rashmika Mandanna has shared an emotional note on her character Geetanjali and the film. According to Rashmika, she had many questions on the character of Geetanjali, but after the persuasion of director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, she understood.

Rashmika recently shared some unseen pictures from the sets of the film Animal on social media and wrote, Geetanjali, if I have to describe her, she is the only force that holds the entire house together. She is pure, real, unfiltered, powerful and raw. As an actor, I would question some of Geetanjali's actions. I remember my director told me that this was his story. Ranvijay and Geetanjali. This is his love and passion. He has his family and his life. That's the way they are.

He further wrote, In a world full of violence, hurt and unbearable pain, Geetanjali will bring peace, faith and solace. She will pray to her God to keep her husband and children safe. He is like a rock, which has withstood all the storms.

Issue of misrepresentation of women in animal film raised in Parliament

Some time ago, Congress MP Ranjit Ranjan raised the issue of the film Animal in Parliament. He believes that the way women have been presented in the film is wrong. Children of class 11th and 12th consider the violent characters shown in the films as role models and start behaving like them. MP Ranjit said that his daughter had gone to watch the film with her friends, but after seeing the characters of women and violence in the film, she returned home crying.

The film Animal has collected more than Rs 600 crore in just 9 days of its release. With this, it has become the biggest film of Rashmika and Ranbir's career. The film is released on December 1, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol in lead roles.
