A video that demonstrates its creation is making the rounds online.
An Instagram food page shared the now-viral video. The opening details indicate that this 73-year-old dish is from Karachi, Pakistan. The first step in making bun-kebab is to beat the egg white. The street vendor beats it again after it turns into a foam that resembles clouds with an egg yolk blended in. Following a nice dip in the egg foam, the pre-made dal kebab is carefully pan-fried. The street vendor turns the kebabs to fry the other side once the first side has turned golden-brown. Accompanying it are butter-fried buns. The clip was shared with a caption – “Jhaag se bana kebab.”
The video was shared on December 15 and since then, it has collected over 3.3 million views.
