A star always remains a star. His stardom does not fall if some films flop. This is what Prashant Neel, director of Prabhas' film Salaar, has to say. Prashant said that he doesn't care if Prabhas' previous films flopped at the box office. All they need is a hit film. The work he has done in Bahubali cannot be forgotten.
Prashant Neel gave the example of Shahrukh Khan. He said that Shahrukh's previous films were also failing. But this year he has made a comeback and shown what a big star he is. Prashant has praised Shahrukh here, but is going to compete with his film at the box office.
Shahrukh's film Dunky is releasing tomorrow i.e. on 21st December. Whereas Salaar will be released pan India on 22nd December. The clash between the two films is being seen as a great clash.
people will never forget baahubali
Prashant Neel told PTI- Prabhas is a big star. He became the biggest star after Baahubali. People will probably never forget this film. Whether he gives one flop or 20, all he needs is one hit.
Prabhas's previous film Adipurush was made for Rs 600 crores. However the film proved to be a disaster. There were chances of earning Rs 150 crore at the domestic box office. Apart from this, the film Radheshyam was also badly hit. In such a situation, Salaar is going to be the most important film of Prabhas's career.
I don't care about the film business
Prashant Neel also talked about the clash with Dinky. He said- How much will the film earn? How much will be the business of the film? I don't want to get entangled in all this. I get a particular amount for making a film. My job is to prepare the film for that particular amount and release it at the right time.
Prashant also praised Rajkumar Hirani and Shahrukh Khan here. He said that he has a lot of respect for both of them.
Dainik Bhaskar had taken opinion from trade expert Taran Adarsh on the clash between Dinky and Salar. Taran said that it feels good to hear that two big films are being released simultaneously. However, this is not good from business point of view. Leave business behind too. In such a situation a lot of negativity spreads.
Fans start fighting among themselves. Where two films should be celebrated, a war-like situation is created. Such news sounds good outside, but inside the film industry people get worried. Trade expert and exhibitor Akshay Rathi said that in case of a clash between Donkey and Salaar, there is a possibility of a loss of about Rs 100 crore for both the films.
