Director Rajkumar Hirani said – 'Dinky' real life story: 'The struggle of going abroad was shown by connecting it with life; Families are coming to see it, this is what will make it a hit.

Famous director Rajkumar Hirani has brought the sixth film of his career, 'Dinky'. Hirani's imprint is clearly visible in this Shahrukh Khan starrer film. That means a new, different and interesting topic. Hirani says, 'I try to find a unique story every time. Be it 'Munna Bhai MBBS' or 'PK' or 'Sanju', everything remained different. 'Dinky' is also an untouched story. Such films start slow. I remember '3 Idiots' had a slow start, 'PK' also had a slow start. Families come slowly. Families have also started arriving to watch 'Dinky'. Read the special interview with Hirani:

'Dinky' is Rajkumar Hirani's sixth film as a director. All Hirani's films released so far have been hits.

Question: There has been a strong message from Munna Bhai to Sanju. What message are you giving in Dunky?
answer: Some stories impact larger populations. Like in 'Three Idiots' there was talk about education. This film talks about going abroad and the hardships there. I think such a story should also be told. Very few people would know this story of Punjab that they have the addiction of settling in Canada and London. If you don't have basic education and bank balance, you don't get a visa, so many go illegally. In this, an attempt is made to convey the message that no one leaves his home, friends or streets. They do this only out of compulsion.

Shahrukh Khan played the role of Hardayal aka Hardy in Donkey, which was released in theaters on December 21.

Question: Are there real life examples in Donkey?
answer: The entire story is based on real and research. According to the film, it has been presented in an interesting manner.

Question: Is the struggle to go abroad such a big issue?
answer: Every year about 10 lakh people go abroad through the dinky route i.e. illegally. It takes 6-8 months to cross the border in this manner. Half the people die. I found this story very unique. Went to Punjab to study it. Sat in their English classes. I felt that this issue should be related to life. Its canvas is bigger than previous films. Therefore, this film is coming after about four years of 'Sanju'. It was shot in 4 countries.

This is the first time that Taapsee Pannu has been seen opposite Shahrukh in a film.

Question: Like every time, how much comedy is there in 'Dinky'?
answer: There is a lot of comedy in the first half. How they are learning English and giving exams. One thing is asked, the answer is something else. How they dunk in the second half, what happens to them on the border, this is all. After reaching there they realize that this is not the place they thought they were coming to. They become illegal. Life ends there.

Shahrukh and Hirani have also worked together for the first time through this film.

Question: Shahrukh sets a new level in every film? What did you find in this film?
answer: Shahrukh is currently doing action films, but for me Shahrukh is still lovable. This is a romantic story. I found it perfect for the film. It was a lot of fun working with him.
