Twinkle remembered the shooting of the song with Shahrukh: Said- During that time I was dying of hunger, I was alive only by eating roasted gram.

Twinkle Khanna often remains in the headlines. Sometimes for some controversy, and sometimes for the launch of his book. Recently Twinkle shared an old shooting story filmed with Shahrukh Khan. She told that while performing a song with Shahrukh, she was starving and was eating chana (roasted gram) to fit into the outfit. This song was 'Mohabbat Ho Gayi Hai' from the film 'Badshah' released in 1999.

I was dying of hunger during the shooting of the song
Twinkle Khanna said during the interview- I know you see actresses saying that they do not diet. They eat everything. But this is not true. Most of them are suffering from hunger. While I was performing the song from the film 'Badshah' with Shahrukh Khan, I was dying of hunger from inside.

I don't know why I wore that costume. In that type of costume—called a catsuit—the stomach looks flat. But to have a flat stomach one has to remain hungry. I thought to myself that I will stay alive by eating gram. For some reason, perhaps being a Gujarati, I felt that gram was cheap and easily available everywhere. So this was my diet at that time.

I felt like a ball of gas because of hunger
Twinkle further said- During that time, I was feeling like a 'ball of gas' due to hunger. Shahrukh Khan had to lift me in this song. At that time I was so scared that I might explode like a gas canister in Parliament, but no, I did not let that happen. So if you see me grinding my teeth in the song, then believe me other parts of the body were also in uncomfortable positions. Somehow I was holding everything together. But yes, I survived even in that difficult situation.

Twinkle also talked about the review of the film. Said- After the release of the film 'Badshah', I only got good reviews for Meri Naval. It is amazing that no one opposed such a review at that time. To be honest, I sincerely thanked the author who had written such a review.
