Remarried at the age of 58: On the 20th anniversary, Ronit took seven rounds with his wife, performed the rituals in the temple of Goa.

On the occasion of Christmas, Ronit Roy remarried his wife Neelam. On the occasion of his 20th anniversary, the actor once again got married to his wife Neelam as per Bengali customs. The couple performed these rituals in a temple in Goa. Their 16 year old son Agastya was also present on this special occasion.

Married again to celebrate 20 years
Ronit Roy and Neelam got married in the year 2003. In such a situation, in the joy of completion of 20 years, once again both of them lived that moment and took seven rounds. Ronit Roy said during a conversation with India Today – Although earlier I had thought that I would marry Neelam again on the silver jubilee, but Neelam wanted to do it now.

My daughter, who is currently studying abroad, has also come. Actually my son Agastya will also go out for further studies. My mother, who is fond of travelling, is also here now. I feel like all this was destined to happen again. So everything happened automatically. Yes, I am very happy that everything turned out so beautifully.

Neelam fills me with confidence
Regarding nervousness regarding marriage, Ronit said- Yes, I did not feel any nervousness. Even when I married Neelam for the first time, I was not nervous. Neelam is a woman who makes your life easy. Fills you with confidence. We both have been together for the last 23 years. Today's occasion was like time travel for us. We both realized and celebrated our own journey once again. Neelam and I have seen the good and bad moments of life together, moving to a new house, traveling together, watching our two children grow up – all this feels very good.

How did Ronit feel after seeing Neelam? Responding to this, the actor said- Funny. Both of us were already married, so getting married once again felt very special. When we talked about relationships, Ronit said – I think every person is passionate about something or the other in his life. But when two people start living life together, you have to learn to be selfless.

Both of you have to put aside your personal agenda and think about each other. If you see, my name appears at the end in the nameplate of my house. To be honest – ‘I care about you’ – these words have a very deep meaning. When you care about someone, you support him/her at all times. Be it good times or bad. Yes, there will be normal fights, but these also teach you something. When you move beyond these you feel even stronger.

The children were excited for both of us to get married.
Ronit was asked what was the reaction of the children on his remarriage. On this Ronit said- Both my children were very excited to be a part of this wedding. My daughter is 18 years old and son is 16 years old. Ronit further said laughingly that my children asked me how much time is left for both of you to get married? Actually we all were fasting, and there were about 2 hours in the ceremony. The children wanted everything to end quickly so that they could eat food.

Ronit Roy married Neelam for the first time on 25 December 2003. After marriage they had two children. Daughter Aadar and son Agastya. If reports are to be believed, Ronit was married to a woman named Joanna before Neelam. He also has a daughter from her.
