Rajkumar Hirani gave update on Munna Bhai 3: Said- 5 scripts are incomplete, Dunki is finished, now I will open the box of old stories.

Filmmaker Rajukmar Hirani introduced iconic characters like Munna Bhai and Circuit in the year 2003 with the film 'Munna Bhai MBBS'. After 3 years, in the year 2006, the sequel of the film 'Lage Raho Munna Bhai' was released and it was also a super-duper hit. In the film, Munna and Circuit won everyone's hearts with their Gandhigiri.

From then till now the discussion regarding the third part of the film is going on. Fans have been waiting for the third part of this franchise for the last 17 years. Many times it is heard that this film is going to start but till now no official announcement has been made regarding it.

There were many discussions about Munna Bhai 3 but till now this film could not go on the floors.

Some stories become outdated: Hirani
Recently, in an interview with ANI, Hirani talked about Munna Bhai 3. The director said, 'My struggle with Munna Bhai has always been that the last two films have become so good that I still have 5 half-written scripts lying with me. I feel that if I am not able to reach the level of the previous two films, I will not be able to make the third one. I have a story which can be made but some stories become outdated so now only time will tell when this film will be made.

'Now I will open the box of old stories'
Hirani further said, 'I often talk to Sanju (Sanjay Dutt) regarding this. He also says that another part should be made. Now that this 'Dinky' is over, I will open the box of old stories. I feel like making one more Munna Bhai but I don't know when it will be made.

Hirani has worked with Shahrukh Khan for the first time in the film Donkey.

Dunki did business worth Rs 323.77 crore
Hirani is enjoying the success of 'Dinky' these days. This Shahrukh Khan starrer film has made a business of Rs 167.47 crore at the Indian box office and Rs 323.77 crore worldwide. Hirani has worked with Shahrukh for the first time in 'Dinky'.
