He told that he wanted to work with Ameesha Patel for 22 years. Ameesha Patel will be seen in the role of Love Guru in the film 'Tauba Tera Jalwa'. Akashaditya also shared some exciting stories about the world of TV and films.

The character of the film 'Tauba Tera Jalwa' is inspired by real life character.
Talking about the film, director Akashaditya Lama described 'Tauba Tera Jalwa' as a philosophical romantic thriller. He said- This film is not a love story but a love story. What is love, how does it happen, why does it happen and what can be the consequences of love – this is what the film is about. Every care has been taken to ensure that the audience gets full entertainment from the film. The characters of the film are inspired by real life characters. The role of Ameesha Patel is inspired by a woman I know personally. She plays a love-guru in the film, who falls in love.

Similarly, Rajesh Sharma's character in the film is that of Professor Syed Ahmed, who is an Osho follower. Angela Krislinzki aka Rinku's life is influenced by TV serials. In the film, she is playing the character of a woman who keeps watching TV serials the whole day. I understand very well what a tremendous impact TV has on people. Whether I talk about my aunts or my neighbours. Jatin Khurana is playing the role of Romi Tyagi. Romi's character is inspired by the college boys of the North. When such quirky characters come together, the story is sure to be fun. Actually 'Tauba Tera Jalwa' is the flame of love. The intensity of love is so dangerous that people start repenting.

Wanted to work with Ameesha Patel for many years
Director Akashaditya is a friend of Ameesha Patel. 22 years ago, during an interview, Akashaditya had expressed his desire to cast Ameesha Patel in the film. In such a situation, when finally Ameesha Patel became a part of his film, the director's happiness knew no bounds. He said- If you want something passionately, the entire universe tries to bring it to you. Same thing happened with me. Although I wanted to work with him since 'Gadar', it never happened. Finally, when the talk of the film 'Tauba Tera Jalwa' started, the producers of this film also wanted to cast Ameesha Patel. Although earlier the producer had approached Ameesha Patel for the role, but Ameesha had refused. But Ameesha did not refuse me because she knew me already and we were good friends. I think 'Tauba Tera Jalwa' is the smallest film of Ameesha Patel's life, which does not have a big star cast or director.

Working in TV completely destroys your personal life.
Akashaditya, who has been a writer, director and theater artist, was asked what he liked most among these three. The director unhesitatingly described being a theater artist as his favorite job. He said- I have my own theater group. The money I earn from TV serials and films, I invest in theatre. Many well-known TV artists of today's times have emerged from my theater group.

I did not work for TV after 2013. I did not want to work in TV because it becomes very difficult to work every day. Such long shifts completely destroy your personal life. This is why I left TV. My last show was 'Jhilmil Sitaro Ka Aangan Hoga' with Sooraj Barjatya.

Regarding his upcoming projects, Akashaditya said – A period drama film of mine will be released soon which is based on the partition of India-Pakistan in 1947. The story of Bengal has been shown in this film. I also have a project with Priyadarshan ji which will be seen by the audience in the form of a grand web-series. Apart from this, a comedy and a romantic thriller will also be seen. I also have many upcoming projects as a writer.
