Rishi Kapoor was a possessive husband
This 8th season of Karan Johar's show 'Coffee with Karan' is going on. So far, the season has featured everyone from Deepika Padukone, Siddharth Malhotra, Janhvi Kapoor to Sharmila Tagore and Saif Ali Khan. In such a situation, this time two veteran actresses Neetu Kapoor and Zeenat Aman were seen in the show. A wonderful bonding between the two was seen in the show.
Neetu Kapoor had stopped doing films after marriage with Rishi Kapoor. Talking about leaving Bollywood at the age of just 20-21, he said- I started working at the age of 5. I got a lot of love from people for my film 'Do Kaliyan'. I had seen popularity at the very beginning of my film career. Because of this, later doing films became like a job for me. I did around 70-80 films between the age of 5 years to 21 years.
Neetu Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor got married in the year 1980.
Neetu Kapoor was very happy with her decision to leave films and she further said – I have worked in the industry for 15 years. After the birth of my children, I wanted to spend all my time with my family and children. Rishi was a possessive husband. He always wanted me to be around him. I also liked it. So at that time my life revolved around him and my family. I was very happy in this life of mine. Everyone in my family was full of love. My mother-in-law was one of the best people I ever knew. My father-in-law was also an amazing person. We all lived like a happy Punjabi family and used to laugh and joke a lot. When I lived in Deonar Cottage, Chembur, those were the best days of my life.
Zeenat Aman enjoyed motherhood a lot
While sharing her personal life, Zeenat Aman told how she was ready to enjoy motherhood after seeing stardom. She was very happy with this change in her life. She said- I was completely ready for this change. I wanted to move towards the next chapter of my life. I gave my 100% in the journey of becoming a mother, just like I used to give my 100% in films. So when I look back at my journey, I don't feel at all that I have lost anything.
Neetu Kapoor said- Both my mother and my boyfriend were very strict.
During the show, Neetu Kapoor also told that Rishi Kapoor was a strict boyfriend. He kept Neetu Kapoor away from the party culture of the film industry. Neetu Kapoor said- We used to have a lot of fun with Yashji (Yash Chopra). But yes, since Rishi Kapoor was my boyfriend, I never partied. It was often like don't do this, don't do that, come home. Maybe that's why I never saw the wild side of partying. I was committed. I had a strict mother and a strict boyfriend in my life. So I was stuck between them.
In the year 2020, Rishi Kapoor died of leukemia (a type of cancer).
Neetu Kapoor remembered her husband's last days
Apart from this, Neetu Kapoor also talked about the last days of Rishi Kapoor. Let us tell you, Rishi Kapoor was undergoing treatment for leukemia in New York in his last days. Neetu Kapoor said- I don't like to remember sad days. You know that Chintu ji (Rishi Kapoor) was a very sweet person. Although he had a lot of love inside him, he did not express that love. During his illness, Rishi ji openly showed his hidden love. To be honest, we had the best time of our lives in New York.
