Vigilance has started tightening its grip on CP Singh, former MD of Rajya Nirman Nigam, accused in the monument scam of around Rs 1400 crore that took place during the BSP government. Along with registering a case of disproportionate income on Monday, raids were conducted at his locations from Lucknow to Delhi and many documents of black earnings through half a dozen companies were seized. Vigilance investigation has so far revealed six such companies in which CP Singh is the director and through them properties were created from Lucknow to Mumbai, Delhi and Uttarakhand. Vigilance's investigation, which lasted for about 18 hours, seized many important documents and is preparing to give notice to them and record their statements.
